Nick Vuolo
Principal

Nick is a second generation insurance agent and a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado. From 1994 through 1996 he worked as a producer for The Franklin Insurance Company. He then became a commercial lines producer for Farmers Insurance Company where he worked until 2001.
Nick founded Network Insurance Services in 2001, and the agency has grown exponentially since. Nick's focus has remained commercial insurance, and his passion continues to be helping those in the construction industry manage their risks and reduce their costs.
His loyalty to his clientele is demonstrated by his involvement in several trade organizations.

Nick continually updates his knowledge and skills through professional training and courses specific to commercial insurance needs.
Nick's role is to assess the needs and wants of the customer, advise the client as to their risk exposures and how to best manage them, and build a customized coverage portfolio based upon those needs and wants. Nick negotiates on the customers behalf with the insurance carriers with respect to both coverages and premiums, and he advises the customer concerning pricing and coverage options.

Herb Phelps
Account Executive

A graduate of NC State University with a BA in Business Management, Herb has been a commercial insurance specialist since 1991. He has experience with helping business owners from a broad array of industries - including manufacturing, construction, auto service, restaurants, and wholesale risks. In addition to building custom property / liability / auto packages, his expertise includes bonding and the managing of Workers Compensation costs.

Brent Mings
Account Executive

A graduate of The School of the Ozarks in Branson Missouri, Brent began his insurance career as an Agent for Farmers Insurance in 1991 and continued the affiliation with Farmers until 2009.
While with Farmers, Brent utilized all types of insurance products to serve his client needs for auto, home, life, financial, commercial and work comp insurance. Brent joined Network Insurance in 2009 and is excited about being able to offer to his clients multiple options from Network's impressive array of carriers.
Brent enjoys fishing and golfing with his clients and has a simple philosophy: treat people the way you would want to be treated in business and put the client's needs ahead of everything else.

Chris Walters
Account Executive

Chris has been a licensed Physical Therapist since 1994, and in addition to treating work related injuries, was the Administrator for the state's largest Occupational Medicine clinic for almost 10 years, which allowed him to learn workers' compensation from the ground up. He has a Masters of Business in Health Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree from Marquette University; Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Chris's unique perspective gives us the ability to question treatment plans as well as the provider about how a claim is being handled.

Tom Joiner
Producer/Agent

A Colorado native and graduate from The Colorado College with a BA in Economics, Tom has extensive experience and knowledge of the commercial insurance industry. Tom was drawn to Community Associations and Planned Unit Developments from the beginning of his career and has become a published trusted professional among this community, he is an active member of the Community Associations Institute, he services a variety of industries including, but not limited to: community associations, apartments, various commercial property risks, as well as construction and service firms that serve the types of properties he focuses on. His knowledge, work ethic, and commitment to extraordinary service are attributes that parallel the principles that our agency was founded on as well as make him a valuable asset to our agency team.

Steve Schrier
Producer/Agent

A graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, Steve began his insurance career as an agent for Farmers Insurance Co. in 1977. While with Farmers, Steve was promoted to Regional Manager and then to the position as Commercial Insurance Training Manager. Steve has also been a commercial agent for CoWest Insurance. Steve joined the Network Insurance Services team in 2006, and his vast knowledge of business insurance is an asset to both his customers and to our agency team.

Susan Mishler
Workers' Compensation Analyst

Susan has twenty nine years of insurance experience with both Workers' Compensation and Property/Casualty. She worked for sixteen years with the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI). The last position she held was as a Senior Residual Market Analyst underwriting Workers' Compensation applications for the Residual Market Assigned Risk Pool.
Susan has advised Employers, Insurance Carriers, Agents and State Regulators on various Workers' Compensation issues. She served on the NCCI Fraud Unit and recovered over 3 million dollars in one year alone. Susan worked with the New Mexico appeals board and served as an expert witness in the NM Federal Court representing the NCCI on several fraud cases.
Susan is an advocate for our clients in dealing with insurance adjusters and the NCCI. She assists our clients in the areas of Workers' Compensation claims management, and she works with claims adjusters to expedite the closure of claims and the removal of reserves from our clients' loss histories. Susan not only performs audits of our clients' NCCI Experience Mod worksheets, she works directly with the NCCI to get errors corrected.
She is instrumental in the development of customized return-to-work programs by negotiating directly with outside sources including several charities that can become alternative sites for employment.

Harry White
Registered Nurse

Harry serves Network Insurance Services, LLC as a Medical Claims Manager. As a medical professional for the past 17 years, Harry has worked in Occupational Health Clinics and understands the delicate relationships between the injured worker, the claims adjuster, and the medical provider. He utilizes this knowledge and experience to work with all parties to ensure that the medical treatments provided are what is needed and to expedite the closure of claims.

Leo Grinsteiner CSP
Certified Safety Professional
A certified safety professional (CSP), Leo has more than 15 years of professional safety experience. He has worked as regional safety manager at one of the top 50 general contracting firms in the nation, as well as a safety manager for the world's largest aluminum sheet and plate mill. Other experience includes safety supervisor at an oil refinery and fire inspector for a Chicago area fire department and five years as a U.S. Marine. Leo's passion for safety and his innovation to use modern technology led him to assemble a seasoned cast and crew to produce videos that are fun to watch, address specific safety situations, hold peoples' attention and make an impact. Leo is available as a resource for any safety situation or question that can arise on a job site or in the office.
